David G Newman, Q.C.  is a Rotarian, advocate and peace builder. He was Minister of Indigenous Affairs in Manitoba 1997 to Oct 1999. He was Co-Chair of the Responding in Love Campaign for the Diocese of Rupertsland to raise awareness and funds for reparation of damage done to Indigenous Peoples who had been required to attend residential schools and in addition to create a Healing and Reconciliation Fund. He served on the Nunavut Planning Commission 2006-2009, served on Board of Rotarian Action Group for Peace (“RAGFP”) 2016-2019, on HIP Board for Canada since 2016 and is responsible for spreading HIP committee into Rotary clubs throughout Western Canada. Co-Chairs Rotary Club of Winnipeg Peace Builder Committee, Board Member of Rotary 5550, Chair and Co-Founder of Rotary 5550 World Peace Partners.
