Bonnie Emerson is an Indigenous woman, community advocate and police officer.  She leads the Winnipeg Police Community Engagement Division and believes police should play the role of peacekeeper.  Bonnie has been actively involved in community and non-government organizations (NGO) boards for over 20 years, working to address poverty, employment, conflict resolution and safety.  She has developed a number of collective impact initiatives to address root causes of crime, in nonviolent ways.
